Founding of the LPGA

Did you know…the LPGA (Ladies Professional Golf Association) was founded in 1950. The founding members were/are Marilynn Smith, Babe Zaharias, Shirley Spork, Sally Sessions, Helen Hicks, Opal Hill, Alice Bauer, Patty Berg, Bettye Danoff, Helen Dettweiler, Marlene Hagge, Betty Jameson, and Louise Suggs. NCAA Eligibility Center

Did you know…In order to play collegiate golf you must register in the NCAA eligibility center? The NCAA Eligibility Center certifies the academic and amateur credentials of all college-bound student athletes who wish to compete in NCAA Division I or II athletics. So if you are looking to play golf in college or any sport in college for that matter, you must register online! The NCAA recommends that you register the beginning of your sophomore year.

Free drop from any sprinkler head

Did you know… That you receive a free drop from any sprinkler head if your ball lies on it or if it interferes with your swing or stance? So if you are ever in a bush look around for any sprinklers. If you find one close enough to your feet or ball you may receive a free drop from the bush!
